Rattle in Drivers door

Folks,

I am beginning to get a rattle in the rear section of my drivers door. I am not sure if this is in the door, or the top. This rattle is not dependedt on RPM, but by the road. It used to happen onver rough roads, but now it is happening on less of a rough road.

Has anyone had this - and is there a solution?

Thanks

Look behind the seat between the roll bar and the side of the car. There's a "U" shaped piece that the top frame slips into when the top is down. On our '00, a small piece in that "U" shaped cup rattles a good bit. You can make it rattle by tapping that cup. I have not been able to take the part out and see if something's just loose or broken yet, but it may be a place for you to start.
