2.5L vs 2.7L Transmission.

My question is will a 2.7L Transmission fit a 2.5L Boxster and will the clutch work as well?

I don't know for certain if there is any difference in the fit, but I do know there are differences in the gear ratios for 4th, 5th, and the final drive for the 5 speed from the 2.5 to the 2.7 .
See page 02-12 in the Bentley Manual.
