engine swap for a 2001 porsche boxster convertible need help!

Ok so basically heres what I want to do and I want to do it myself I have a 2001 porsche boxster 2.7 liter I want to upgrade to a 996 3.6 liter basically I'm aware that I have to lower the engine to fit the air intake I'm also aware of the exhaust situation. What I'm curious about is what about the wiring harness does it need replaced also the ECU does it need replaced and reprogrammed ? and will my 5 speed bolt to this will I need a bigger clutch ? I'm sure the clutch is bigger also would I be better off with a 3.4 instead I'm looking for more horse without buying a new car mine currently has 60k and is in great condition I recently upgraded to a spec stage 2+ clutch the response is better but I'm looking for more !! lol and I already replaced the faulty motor mount ( my assumption why the clutch went out broken motor mount was jerking the trans ) I do have e-gas also. What year engine should I look for does it matter ECU ? and Harness if they matter? should I go with the 6 speed trans can I use a six speed with the 2.7 liter for now ? any help would be gravely appriciated. and how much could I get these items for I'm new to the whole forum thing I have rebuilt cvt trans ect so the install shouldnt be rocket science for me (I hope  ) lol what motor sizes will work with my car that people have already done ?

I'm running a 2005 3.6 in my 1998 Boxster with the original 1998 5 speed tranny. It's been driven over 47,000 miles without a hint of any issues. You will need a 7.8 DME to replace your 7.2 DME. You cannot reuse the 996 engine harness, you must add wires to the DME's connector 3 to control valve lift. You must fabricate tubing from the air cleaner to the 996's throttle body and replace the MAF tube and sensor.

Not an all inclusive list, just some of the PITAs.

awesome so how long did it take on the swap ? and were there any motor mount issues etc. ? And I may consider a 3.4 how is the speed difference form the boxster motor to the 3.6 or 3.4 ?

The conversion was done by Todd Holyoak, I bought the car that way.
