Boxster headlights
Hello Everyone...another newbie here with a question regarding the halogen headlights on my 2000 Boxster.
I bought this car last year, and the original owner had replaced the halogen bulbs in the headlights which in turn "burned" the lenses. I have purchased a new set of headlights and want to eliminate the burning of the new lights, so my question is, which bulbs are correct to put in the headlights (I know H7)? But what type / manufacturer is best to prevent burning the lenses again? Thanks for your consideration... |
H7 do not exceed 55 watts.
You can find a summary of testing results from a few years ago on bulbs said to give added brightness at http://sites.google.com/site/mikefocke2/replacementbulbsforheadlights but do not exceed 55 watts. |
Thank you for your reply...
I am not necessarily looking to add brightness, but I want to make sure that I do not "burn" the new lenses.... |
You could probably make some money selling your old lights on here or on eBay for folks to use to install HID retrofits. I just bought a pair with burned lenses and am going to install HID retrofits, but I was afraid to do it on my main headlights in case I mess it up :)
