Help with instrument cluster
 

Hey folks,

I was in my fuse box this weekend trying to jump the frunk to open and I may have misplaced a fuse. Tonight after installing my new MAF I noticed my gauges were dark and not giving speed, rpm etc. Initially it lost readouts and illumination to the gauges but clock was working and the center pod was blank but glowing orange. I then started swapping and moving fuses and now not only do I have no gauges the clock is out and the center is no longer glowing. Can someone help guide me to the right fuse locations for these please. I tried using the diagram but everything seems to be in the right place and fuses look good. I may have put fuses in some blank spots just to make sure.

I am officially stumped. I tested every fuse and they are all good.

What year? Perhaps someone can post a pic of the fuse box chart.

I have the bently manual and the fuse box diagram. At this point I am pretty certain it is not a fuse. It is raining out here so the only thing I can think of is some moisture got somewhere it should but I am not sure.

The car runs fine it is as if all the sending units just quit all of a sudden. When I got in the car this morning there was a battery light and oil light on the dash.

I just realized I drove it on after the rain without the rear most plastic under tray on. Is there anything under the rear that controls signal to the cluster that may have gotten wet?

I came home from work today and opened the door to give it a fresh look. As soon as I pop the door I see the cluster light up. I fire it up and all is well. I guess the ECU was tripped up on something but all is well now.

Gotta love a self-healing car! Hope it doesn't come back. Intermittent problems like that can often be caused by moisture or a bad ground somewhere.

I have to agree with the others that moisture probably created a short in the computer or on its terminals some how.

Check for moisture under the seat where the computer lives and make shure your drains are not plugged.
