How do I remove my Climate Control Unit ?

Quick question.

What is the best way to remove the Climate Control Unit in the dash.
I have an 01 S. It seems like there is a finish panel around the edge ie Bezel.
If I pry this off, are there screws or releases behind it?

Before I break something, I figured one of you gentilemen would know.
I am replacing the CCU with a new one. Mine went the other day.

Thanks in advance,
Joe

You pry that trim piece off and behind it are 2 screws.

Thanks,

I figured it was that easy. I have the CCU coming tomorrow and I wanted to look
at it first before possibly breaking the trim.

Kindly,
Joe

Just curioius, what do you mean by "mine went the other day". Did it totally go kaput, lights out. Or was something not working quit right? Like air not blowing cold or hot enough or something? I recently replaced my cabin filter and my heat and A/C work so much better now. I had acutally looked into replacing my CCU originally, not sure if you have all the instructions, but from what i read, sounds like you'll need the PST2 to install it properly. Let us know how it goes.

thanks,
