Airbag cover sticking out about 1/4"---should I be concerned?
 

I noticed that the airbag cover, where the glove box is located on most vehicles, is sticking out about 1/4" on the lower right side.

Should this be a cause for concern? :confused:

I doubt it, unless the bag has deployed in the past & improperly replaced. Carfax would probably disclose prior deployment. When I bought my 2000 Box in 2003 the pass airbag cover was flush with the dash but squeaked. Dealer fixed under warranty by applying a felt pad, which created a 2mm gap with dash.
