Problem Starting after short term storage

Last week I went to storage to start up 2001 Boxster - - little finicky - -backfired a little - then ran like a champ - - Today wants to start but will not do it? Is this an oil/air problem?? Help - -Newbie

The first thing I would look at is the condition of the battery. I don't mean just checking voltage but do a load test. If you don't have a load tester, then remove the battery and have someone do it. Battery needs to be fully charge and then load tested. It may still show 12+ volts but could be shorting out under load.
