GT3 Radiotor Kit for 97-2004Boxster

I was searching around www.************************************************************ and i came across a GT3 radiotor kit for a Boxster, AND IT WAS ONLY $600. The kit supposedly bolts right onto Boxsters. Does anyone here have one? Anyone know of anyone with one?

Hi,

It's interesting, but I don't know if it's really needed. I'm not under the impression that the Boxster typically runs Hot if the OEM Cooling system is well maintained (of course in severe climate and/or operation, things may be different). Mine certainly does not.

One time, in Stop & Go traffic on a 100°+ day with the AC on, did my Temp Gauge climb unusually high. I switched off the AC and Temp returned to the Normal range. Normally, it operates well within the Normal range.

And, on that day, the problem wasn't too little Radiator... it was too little Airflow. Adding a 3rd radiator would do little, if anything, to mitigate this problem. IMHO, $600 is quite a bit of Cha-Ching for something you really don't need.

Check to see if both the radiator fans are comming on. If one is not it can cause that problem.

Hi,

Excellent Point! Also, be sure to check for debris accumulation in the radiators and backflush through the fins if present to remove it.
