Aftermarket Steering wheel question

Hi all,
I am thinking about replacing my '97 4 spoke with a 'non airbag' suede sports aftermarket Momo steering wheel.
Is there a procedure to follow to bypass the dash airbag warning light?

Any thoughts or experience would be great.

Cheers

Remove dash pod. Remove bulb. I do not believe it is possible to trick the computer.

I'm sure you can use a resistor to disable the light.

This is something I would normally have to do on a French car! No worries, I was just worried I would create another electrical issue by disconnecting it!

Now that I think about it I have heard about someone doing a resistor. Search Rennlist's 986 and 996 boards.

Having said that, I removed the bulb in my GT3, my 996 and my specBox (all of which have or had different wheels). No issue in any of them. And if you're removing the airbag you really aren't going to care about the airbag not functioning properly (which is what the light tells you).
