Hey all relatively new to forum so bare with I recently bought a 2002 Boxter S great car love it 18,000 miles
Problem is already flashing like 1135 code it currently has 27000 i wouldn't think the oxygen sensor would be bad already are there any things i should be looking at ? I do notice intermittently it wants to cut out at around 5000 rpm are these related at all ? Could it be the frecken ethanol we are getting in fuel ?http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1345146449.jpg |
Sounds like another MAF sensor detected at the Bank 2 O2 sensor..
Try simply unplugging the MAF cable and see it it cuts out at 5K RPM.. I read too many places that a dirty or defective MAF can cause the P1135 at the O2 sensors.. If it is the MAF, and you replace it, you need to have the codes cleared.. I'll shut up now and let someone with more expertise help.. |
Everyone gets ethanol in fuel (or will until the politicos decide we have more gas than corn).
Are you sure the code is a 1135? I ask because P1135 it isn't listed as a code in the DME book for the 7.2. Flashing? Exactly what is flashing? The CEL? Flashing CEL is really serious problem. Get the codes read and don't drive it until you know exactly what the problem is. |
