Wheel Spacers

Hi. I am new to the Boxster world.
I've had my 1998 silver w/red interior for about 2 weeks now. Love it!
I have the stock 17" wheels on it & would like to push them out a touch. They are a little too "in" for my liking. I was thinking of going with 10mm on the front &
15mm on the rear.
Does anyone have any experience with wheel spacers? What sizes have others used.

P.S; I will post some pics of the car in the next few days

Thank you.

I also have the 17s and have put 15mm spacers fore & aft. The wheels are still wider in back than front but they now fill out the wheel well rather nicely.

Hi AKL,
Thanks for the reply, Could you post a pic of the car with the spacers on?
Also, did you need to use longer wheel bolts?

My special edition boxster spyder came with from the factory with 5MM spacers and there appears to be plenty of room for another 5 to 10 MM. It may depend on how stiff your suspension is also and how much upward travel it will get.

Need to take a good pic of the car which I have not yet done but it is obvious if you look at the car in person. Will try to get some pics soon.

Yes you will need longer bolts. Johnny Danger is a wealth of information on this subject and I am sure will chime in soon. I bought the new bolts in chrome which gives a nice finished look to the wheels. I do not have a locking bolt on this set but I rarely park in an "at risk" area.
