Note the metal filings in the oil and around the bearing race

RMS seal leak, No other symptoms, nothing in the oil filter.

So open her up and look inside. Post some pics if you can. Is there any play or roughness in the bearing?

Exactly as mine appeared upon removal. Car ran great , RMS leakage but nothing dripping off the vehicle. A time bomb ready to explode. Great save, Mike. :cheers:

are you sure its from the bearing,have you opened it up to have a look

Thats a stage 3 bearing failure.. This is what we see just before the bearing lets go.. If that car had the IMS Guardian installed the alert would have occurred soon after this much material was released into the oil.

Good job saving that one!
