Sport Exhaust System
 

I am getting ready to finalize the order for my 2006 Boxster S. They offer an option (# XLF) called Sport Exhaust System. You can actually change between sport and normal exhaust with an interior switch. My question is, will this increase Horsepower? Thanks.

no HP gain. but with louder sound, you'd "feel" like you gain some HP :)

I have 2002 Boxster S with the sport exhaust option. I like it a lot. I don't know if it incrreases the HP or not but would venture to say yes. The former owner and the service rep at the local dealer says it adds 6 HP, but I don't know if this data is accurate. in any event it looks and sounds way cool. I think it is a bit pricy (Ii just bought the car used, privite party and it was on it from the factory) so not many people pony up the dough for it on order, thus it kind of sets yuor car appart from the others..... I say go for it.
