Dash lights

The backlight for my odometer is out. I found a previous thread showing how to change but the info/pica are gone. Can it be done without removing the clustercand steering wheel? Also I get a small "eek" from the engine when I shut it off. Normal?

Definitely need to remove cluster for bulb changes but not necessarily steering wheel. Take extra care to protect dash as there are some really sharp clips/edges on underside of cluster.

"eek" could be anything...or nothing - need many more details before even remotely begining to diagnose.

Good luck :)

Yes, you'll have to remove the cluster to replace the backlight bulbs. Its easy, no more than 5 mins max. This tech article has the instructions for removing the cluster:
