Michellin replacement question

I've had bad luck with Michellin's on my '03 S.

1. If I go to Pirelli's, which is what I had on my '00, does anyone know if I can use a different N number? Pirelli only lists N4, and my Michellins are N1.

Thanks!

If you use N rated tires it does not matter what the N number is. As each tire manufacturer makes a change to their tire, the N number gets incremented. The michelin design is newer. It has had only one rev N0 -> N1. The Pirelli's have been out longer, more revs. Supposedly you should only use the same N number on all four tires i.e. do not mix N3s and N4s etc.
