ROW M030 springs on std shockabs.
I know that it is normally not a good idea in the long run to own a Porsche with limited budget for service and upgrading. But now I am tempted to buy a set of M030 springs to my std suspension. Will this be an improvement?, of course not the full ROW M030 experience but maybe 50% of the handling improvement at 10% of the price.

Springs don't wear out but struts definitely do. Whether you need new ones depends on the age/mileage and duty life of the car. I would guess springs alone would bring little if any benefit unless you were also able to lower the nose and get more negative camber. If I were on a skinny budget and wanted more sport in my suspension, I would lower the nose, get 2 degrees negative front camber, and add an M030 rear sway. This is probably the most bang for a fewest bucks and will get you a lot closer to M030 performance than springs.

Just buy some used H&R springs, they are out there... last set I paid $200 US.
They lower the car and are better matched to the stock shocks. B |

What I have found matching a limited budget so far is M030 springs for $200 or a low mileage set of complete euro std front shocks/springs, $400. Maybe these with a stiff rear bar might be best bang for the buck. |
H&R are stiffer, but not back braking stiffer.. and they balance a stock anti-roll bar car just fine!!
I believe, MO30 is stock BoxsterS, find some stock BoxsterS take off shocks/springs. B |
