Scissor Lift

I want a lift but don't have the roof space for a regular lift, has anyone used a scissor lift to lift a boxster? It seems ideal with the motor and transmission in the back. Let me know.

BendPak make a very nice one that works well for a 986/987/911 car.

Just picked mine up from Gregg Smith Equipment...the Atlas T6R. 52" rise and is perfect for working on anything you need to do. Base price 1400.00 and 300.00 delivered to my house with a guaranteed lift gate truck delivery.

A number of Porsche and other car enthusiasts at my work have their lifts. At least 6 in my group alone and they work flawless.

Good luck!

That unit looks exactly like the BendPak unit I was refering to, only in black instead of their standard blue paint.

This was my solution for low ceiling, it works great. It will raise the car 4 feet, now you have complete clearance under the car to work on anything you want. I use an old office chair lowered all the way with the backrest bent down a little and fit under there very well. The scissor jack will get in the way often when you want to work on something else. cost was about $1900 - worth every penny
