Quick 2 way adjustable seat Q, and alternative for tall people?

I have a 97 Boxster with the 2 way adjustable seat. The switch that I think controls the pitch of the bottom of the seat does not work. Does this change the pitch or the height of the seat? I'm hoping its the pitch and if I fix it I can solve my biggest pet peeve with the car and that is that being 6'3" the bottom of the seat doesn't support my legs because the angle of my legs is far greater then the angle of the bottom of the seat. I'm used to BMWs which give you a really nice deep bucket to sit in. Does anyone else have this same complaint? What did you do about it.

A search on "tall seat" will give some answers as many have faced the issue of height versus 986's cockpit room. See the blue bar at the top of the page for the "search" button.

The classic responses are Bray-Krause seat brackets, remove the center area of the dash where the cubbys are so your legs can splay sideways more (there is a kit for that), other seats.
