Coilovers with 11k miles?
Been doing some searches but have only come up with high mileage cars that need multiple repalcement parts..
Question is: I'd like to lower my '04 Box S with 11k miles..Is it just a matter of going to my local Porsche tuner and saying "Put in some coilovers and lower my ride?..Is it that simple?..Any other major considerations?..Hoping someone can point me in the right direction..Thanks. |
That's ...

Be aware that when you lower the car too much your camber will be exaggerated so you may also need front camber plates and adjustable arms for the rear. You can also lower the car by installing shorter springs. You don't have to do a full coilover. Happy Boxstering, Pedro |
Yes, H&R and Eibach both make springs that will lower your car in the 1.25 to 1.4" range. If you can find factory M030 springs, I believe they will lower the car 20mm.
Swapping out springs is 6-8 hours' labor and a f & r alignment. I would consider this one of the tasks better done by an independent than by a dealer. YMMV |
