FS 997 RSR Electric Power Steering Pump - Rennlist Discussion Forums

bragging rights to anyone who can figure out how to route the serpentine belt without a/c or ps (i do have an answer, but it'll cost you ...).

Easy.....keep the belt the same and install dummy pulleys for the ac and pwr steering

Not sure I understand the post over on Rennlist.

Is he listing one used 997 unit, or is he making an after-market version?

Install an underdrive pulley and remove the power steering pulley. Then use a smaller belt from another make/model that fits the new length needed.

prize to jaykay. bgb makes a dummy pulley to mount in place of the a/c (don't think there is any way to do it without). not sure what you're saying mr steve, but i'm not certain i would run a upd with electric power steering.
