Unobtanium Underdrive Pulley

Well, my under-drive pulley that I ordered earlier this week arrived today in record time from a supplier that will remain nameless.

It looks like an excellent piece and is unbelievably light weight, which started me thinking - I can't believe how much this thing costs on a $/lb basis.

Clearly this kit is made out of unobtanium! ;)

No Doug, if it was made from unobtainium it would have never arrived. :)

If you paid less than $250, its probably 6061-T6 aircraft quality aluminum. Very light and very strong yet easily obtainable. :D

I think Unobtanium is the company name, google it.

I paid quite a bit more than $ 250, so I am rather shocked at the $/lb or rather Euros/gram that this piece costs. In truth I expect it is 6061 T6 as that is the best forming and machining of the higher strength Al alloys.

I didn't find a company with this name, but I did discover that Oakley is using this tradename extensively in their lines. I guess it's true - "Oakley makes the shades that transform a tool"

Wow.. haven't sold an underdrive pulley for any more than $200 in a long time!!

Is it 4inch or 5inch? I sell two versions.

Yeah, sounds like you paid WAY too much.
