Useless to most people Friday information

Two types of CaymanS pistons. One weighs 15grams less than the other :)

Guess which one will go into this SCCA competition engine? :)

Haha, nice! Are they both forged?

Brad Roberts 01-20-2012 12:08 PM

They are all cast.. "wink wink"

I'm not of fan of having my customers get their pants pulled down when somebody protests our cars, so we have to stay cast. I do use forged in other engines when its called for :)

who makes the pistons? I run a very high grade, high compression, lightweight forged piston in my race bike made by JE

When needed, I use CP (one large company named "Pankl" owns JE/CP/Carrillo)

Pankl supplies Porsche Motorsport with their Ti rods, pistons, cranks.

We used JE way back.
