Lug Nuts

Hey guys, I have a 98 boxster, and all my Lug nuts are rusted. It's so damn ugly! Do we need special LUGS for our cars? If so, anyone know of the cheapest place to get them?

Thanks in advance!

Take the rust off and paint them silver.

Rust oleum should work, no?

A paint that will stick to the metal wheel bolts. Pics from Greig or Grant on the UK board http://www.porschaforum.com/forum/index.php

One of our local 996 owners uses a silver paint sold by OSH, a local hardware store now owned by Sears.

Won't the new paint just strip when you put a wrench to them?

This looks like a good w/e project for me. Would anyone know if I should use a primer coat? Also how many coats of paint would u use? Mine are not looking really good. I have been wanting to take my wheels off to clean the back side of the rims and wheel wells for sometime. Seems like a pretty cheap "date" compared to the last few projects i've undertaken. Great tip guys just the thing i have been thinking of solving. I was really close to just ordering new lugs. That would have been pretty $$$$ compared to can of paint, wire brush, mask tape, and anti-seize. $20 and about 1/2 day. I'll let u guys know how it goes.
