RHD short shifter?
Hi all,

Just installed a short shifter in my 97 986. Problem is, I'm in Australia and the stick points to the left hand side of the car (for us models)...

Can I just bend this to the right or can I unbolt it and turn it around? Is kinda silly with it angling off to the passenger!!!

Appreciate your advice.

It's supposed to stand straight and that's what it does when you flip it.

How do you flip it? If I undo the two nuts, the shaft still is not able to be removed?

The lever is held on with a bolt and nut in the anodized counter lever. Just take out the bolt and flip the lever.

This is one of Che's shifters, it has a nut on each side with a stud connecting them... Not sure how to remove the stud?

It threads into one side. It unscrews. Just don't ruin the threads getting it out.

I had to do exactly that, removed bolt on the right and pushed pin out, flipped over and replaced pin..

OK no worries, did you just use two nuts on one side to un-screw it?

I think it came out with just one nut on it, but jamming nuts is the best way.
