GT3 Suspension

Question:

I have a 2000 Boxster S and a friend of mine just picked up a GT3 2005 or 2004, not sure - I am wondering if I am able to use his brand new stock suspension. Now, if yes - would it be better than my stock? What would the ups and downs be?

I believe the 04 GT3 come with the Billsteins PSS9 kit for the 996.
You can get the 986 kit for your Boxster for about $2500.
The ability to adjust the ride height and rebound is tremendous.
Just get out the impact wrench and race jack and you can raise the ride
height back to stock height in less than an hour.

Does it mean that it'll fit? Or that I need a add - on?

I highly doubt that a 911 suspension fits on a Boxster. He was simply recommending a similar setup made for the Boxster.

996 and 986 suspensions are completey different. well maybe the fronts could work...The GT3 owner I know said that from the windshield forward, the Boxster and the 911 are identical in parts.

Brakes are different, except the S has the same as the Carrera I believe but painted red.

In a word, no. The rear attachment points for the rear suspension links are completely different on a Boxster and there is no provsion for the parallel link setup that is on a GT3. The fronts are different also, except this difference is in the hub attachment points.

Bottom line is, no-go.
