Seat runner ends

Do any of you know how to securely refit the plastic ends of the seat runners? Mine keep popping out because the mat gets moved by getting in and out. When I try to refit them, it takes me ages and is really fiddly. Am I doing something wrong?

How do you guys keep the floor mats from sliding around?

my new mats came with a 2 inch piece that screwed into the base carpet and had velcro on it to hold the mat in place. Do yours have this?

This is for a MY '00. Don't know if it has changed over the years.

The inside cover screws on. It's toward the front of the cover piece on top of the middle plastic piece. There's a small hole in there for the screw. I believe it screws to the floor and not the seat frame, but don't quote me on that.

The outer cover clips on . One of mine broke off when I pulled it out so yours may be broken. The clip is in the center piece of plastic that is between the two runner covers. If you have a big, rectangular hole in that center piece, you're missing the clipping part. Also, if you don't have the center plastic piece, you're missing the clip.
