Water/Methanol injection NA cars

I have been thinking about trying this for some time now. It is not an expensive thing to do and is pretty simple. Basically creating more lower temp air and density = more ponies. Not to mention better mpg's. Any thoughts anyone?

I saw it done a bit in the 80's but not lately. Is there a kit for the Box or an off-the-shelf fit-all system?

I dont think the gains are worth the hassle in a NA car....Im thinking about doing it to the Saab we have that is pushing 22psi boost though

I agree with 5.9 - this makes most sense when combined with a blower to stuff cold dense air into an engine and for controlling detonation. Messing with the fuel system without considering tuning has been known to put people in the market for a short block...

Jaay, just noticed in another thread that you have a wideband and tuner... so... sounds like you have the hardware and chops. Pick up a meth injection kit from Craigslist (someone out there with an Integra needs money!) and let us know how it goes!

Hmmmmm. Maybe I'll go e85 conversion. Seems to be a lot involved along with big money. :).

yeah with E85 (looked into that on the Saab too) you pretty much need to redo the entire fuel system, you have to push like 20% more fuel into the engine, but you can fun MUCH higher compression with it (or for my Saab, more BOOOOOOOST)
