bad shifting ...

i own a 1999 porsche boxster tiptronic, when the engine temperature reaches 180 the 2nd to third shift is accompanied by a latent period where the car is like in neutral and then the third gear is engaged my mechanic said that its the valve body that needs to be cleaned so we removed mine and cleaned it and it still didn't work so he said that we need to replace it... could the valve body possibly be the problem?? i'm afraid that it won't be and i would have spent money for nothing...
help please!!!

Did you ever figure out what problem was?

This is happening a lot. You need to find a good VW/Audi place.. they know our Automatics.

or.. have them switch it over to SWEPCO720 (see other thread)

The SWEPCO goes through and cleans/lubricates the valve body and seals much better than anything on the market. Its has solved a LOT of Chicktronic issues for us in the past.
