How do you get to the front fans?

They are shown in the AllData manuals as behind the headlights. I pulled out the light assembly and can hear them, but can't see them or any screws that can pull the cover off. Do I have to go through the wheel well cover (the plastic cover around the tire) or is there another way to get it out?

I want to pull it out and see why it's making a noise. Sounds like worn bearings so I'd like to figure this out, get the new bearings and get rid of the nasty noise.

Thanks!

Thru the wheel well you need to remove the fender liner and the fan shroud...you can actually see them if you raise the car enough and look thru the opening under the headlights assembly...for a better access you can also remove the front bumper cover and you will be able to see the entire mechanism...

Muchas gracias Pablito!

It must be beautiful driving your Boxster through the streets of Puerto Rico. :D

Yes indeed....especially in the "colder months" October thru January. In the afternoon sometimes you get a slight overcast and the temperature is in the high 70's, you drop the top and cruise by the beach.....It just doesn't get any better
