How to shift properly

Fast Driving Girls - Bonnie Ferrari Again (V034) - YouTube

This is a good example of proper shifting... enough force but not banging in the gears.

I'd like to see some "high heel" and toe downshifting also.

The girl i'm seeing right now. She wants to learn to drive a manual.
She wants to buy an Eclipse
She Should watch this video.
I told her that u can drive a standard with heels
she said ..no way
So I guess i'll have to teach her to drive stick in my car
BUT she'll have 2 wear heels....& then get her own car

I wonder if Bonnie gives lessons
maybe come out to a DE...
i'm sure someone will pony up a car for her to use LOL
cheers
Chris

Funny looking Piloti's!...I have no idea how you walk, let alone drive, in those things.

Good clip! My wife always keeps a pair of flats in her car to drive in (she's never owned a car with an auto).

Dave928 10-09-2011 01:49 AM

nobody taught her you don't have to push the clutch all the way to the floor?

chris97boxster 10-13-2011 02:27 PM

Maybe u have to push clutch all the way to the floor on THAT ferrari.
But I doubt it.
Last night I had a chance to teach a female how to drive a standard
we used my boxster & headed to a parking lot
she did not bring her heels to learn in but rather opted for runners
she did well...as I carefully explained the Heel/Toe method of shifting
She didn't stall the car till about the 6th start from a dead stop
Over all she did well. A couple more practice sessions to get her comfortable
then I will get her to try it with heels on....
THEN she will have to get her own car with a manual transmission
hopefully I can convert her from buying an Eclipse to a Boxster or 911
cheers
Chris
