Boxster S - 997 Turbo Rims?

I am thinking of replacing my standard 18" Boxster S rims (2006-987) with a set of 18" 997 Turbo (Lookalike) rims as sold on www.porscheshop.co.uk.

Has anybody out there made any similar changes? Did this affect the handling/steering feel of the car? Any issues?

I really like the look that these rims bring to the car, but dont want to end up ruining the feel of the car. I have had previous experience changing rims on a car that ended up being a mistake.

Just make sure the width & offset is the same as your oem wheels & the weight is not much more.

wow - that is pretty inexpensive for 997 turbo reps.

I will never run OEM knock-off wheels. They add no value to the car, are heavy, and often not so well made. The real Turbo wheels are much too wide in the rear.

You'd be amazed at how big a difference changing wheel/tire weight has on a car's performance.
