Dismounting rear spoiler ?

Does anyone know if the plastic rivet pins that are driven through the three rivets holding the spoiler cap on can be reused? One member, as I recall, mentioned that you could use short replacement pins of coat hanger wire as a substitute if I am not mistaken. I want to remove it and paint the black areas Arctic Silver like the rest of the car plus I will need to remove it to dismount the rear bumper when I install the now infamous Charlie Chan muffler. Thanks in advance,

AKL

you can reuse them as much as you want, as long as you dont loose them when you push the pin through.
Its a light pressure fitting.
