Found this when I removed my center console. Anyone know if it's part of the car or just some random part that found its way in there?

it's part of your ashtray. when you push the lid down and it slowly rises up, that's the part that makes it go slowly. chintzy little piece; mine is broken and fell out also - i had to glue it back in.

Ah - that explains it. The car came with a broken ashtray, which I replaced with the oddments tray long ago, so I won't be needing this part. Anyone need it?
