Replacing crank sensor...
Having trouble locating the crank sensor on my 2.5. Doesn't seem to be in the spot suggested by an image on Pelican parts. Any idea where it is. Also, any guidance on best method to access it - from below or above? Also, someone suggested that they can be tough to get out / can break and become lodged. Do I need to spray something on first like WD40?

You can get to it from above or below. It's on the passenger side where the transmission meets the engine. It's about 2/3 of the way up. It's on the engine itself, just forward of the flywheel. I can take a pic later if you need it.

Passenger side on a LHD car?
Am I likely to have any trouble getting the old one out? |

it's on the right side of the vehicle. here's a picture of a filthy 2.5L looking forward. the red outlines the hole into which the crank sensor fits. the sensor will come right out w/ no issues.

Thanks. Love your Box by the way. Great spec...not a bad colour, too ;)

It's there, probably dirty....
I replaced mine not too long ago. It was hard to find because it's pretty deep and mine had oil and dirt covering it too. It came out easy once I found it (I got it from the bottom). The hard part for me was getting the lead wire back into the wire clip retainer. It's not hard, just a tight space.
