Exhaust Header? Is this real?

Hey, I was looking into getting performance parts for my 2.7 boxster 986.

Then I saw the M2 performance exhaust headers on ebay for $80. Then I went to the M2 website and they were also cheap at $150.

Is this real? Are they bad quality? Has anyone tried them? Reliable? Any performance gains? They say 10-15HP gains on ebay, but they could be lying.

I thought they were supposed to cost around $800.

They are made in China, which is why they are so inexpensive.
A number of forum members are running them with good results.
I have a set sitting on the shelf, but I don't have the time or balls to install them.
I can give you a good deal on them if you are interested.

I got a set for 55, so if you do some more bargain hunting you can beat that 80 dollar price mark.

Results are great. PITA to install, though: expect broken exhaust bolts.

Yes, I emailed M2 Performance and they said it does cause the check engine light to come on and that it is not street legal. For racing and offroad use only.

What do you hope to accomplish by installing these headers ? It certainly can't be for better performance, reliability or emissions compliance .

catback exhaust

I also noticed they have some cheap exhausts too. Will those cause inspection lights to come on too?
