75mm TB installed on 3.2

This weekend I installed a 996 TB (75mm) on my 2000 Boxster S. It's not too tricky, but I did have to modify/reroute the hoses from the AOS and the intake tubing. I was only able to get out for a 15 minute drive following the installation. From 4000-6000, the engine spins up much faster and the tires were breaking loose, but from 6000-7600 (Softronic ECU with higher redline) the enigine seemed a little flat. I'm guessing the ECU needs time to adjust to the increased airflow. Has anyone else done this and had the same experience?

Interesting...are you going to Dyno it?

I too am curious... What did you pay for your 75mm throttle body? What hose did you use to connect up the intake pipe?

**EDIT** Are these only e-Gas, or can you get cable ones as well?

I'll dyno it, but not until spring. Underdrive pulley, new 2nd gear syncros, LW flywheel & clutch are in the winter plans. Last year I dyno'ed and it made 225 RWHP, but was running lean, which prompted a Softronic re-flash. The car has headers, gutted cats, and a cone airfilter w/ fabricated airbox.
The hose connecting to the airbox is a universal 75mm flex hose connected to an EVO piece with the MAF.
The TB and "T" part of the intake came from Oklahoma Foreign for around $170.00.

I assume by "75mm TB" you're referring to the 996 part? If so, I have an e-gas 996 3.6 TB laying around if anyone needs it. Feel free to PM.

Is it possible to convert e-gas to non e-gas? As in, could I use parts off my standard cable driven 986 throttle body to make a cable driven 996 throttle body from this?

How much you want for it, might give it a go anyway!
Sam
