need new strut mounts

I would like to know what is a fair price to pay to have strut mounts
replaced in a 1997 boxster

Replacing the struts or mounts takes about 2.5 hours a corner, so at labor rates of a hundred bucks an hour you can estimate a grand for doing the job all the way around.

I'm sure the book rate at the dealerships or larger shops is 3-4 hours a corner, even thought the tech will get it done far faster this is what they'll charge you regardless.

For what it is worth,
Alldata (the industry standard for how many hours you are charged)
gives it:
2.6 hours to remove and re-install front suspension, (2.1 - Dealer warr.)
and 5.2 hrs to r/r rear susp. (3.5 - warr.)
7.8 hrs total, just for the r/r of all 4 corners.
Plus the cost of parts.
