Bank1 Catalytic Convertor - Which side of the car?

The Catalytic Convertor on Bank1 need replacing and I know because one of them is making a terrible noise. Which side of the car is Bank1? I believe it is the LHS or driver's side but wanted to make sure before ordering a replacement Cat.

thanks in advance

What kind of horrible noise is it making? Usually bad Catswill not make noise, just reduce performance. If it is a bad rattle you should check the mounting clips on the heat shields. Ed

... so it makes a really bad metallic rattle when once the car has heated up at around 2k-3k RPM from the right rear of the car. the noise is not there when the car first starts or when cold. once the car reaches ~180 degrees it starts appearing. it gets worse the harder i drive it to the point when i finally pull up it's pretty loud. I notice it more in the low gears and only appears when i accelerate.

I had a independent specialist and my local Porsche dealership look at it. The Porsche dealership checked (and cleaned up) the heat shield and the sound was still there. They then identified it as something wrong (probably broken) inside the Cat on Bank 1.

I'm guessing I have to take their word for it.
