Square setup with 16 x 7

Has anyone tried a square setup with 16 x 7 and Hoosiers. They seem so much lighter than my 17's and especially lighter than the 18 Turbo Twists that I have. My 16x7 with HRZIII weigh 38.8 lbs. The 18x9 TT with Yokohama weigh 54 lbs., seems like a huge difference. I only have a little 2.5, do I really need more tire for track days? Any opinions. Bill, Pgh. Pa.

Hi Bill, Try a set of these:

A really good DE tire in 225/50/16 and it's affordable. They stick very well and can take the heat of continuous lapping sessions. Save the Hoosiers for Regional/National Championships.
