Exhaust - anyone try this one????

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-00-04-01-02-03-Boxster-S-986-Cat-back-Exhaust-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3f03580531QQitemZ27063 9039793QQptZRaceQ5fCarQ5fParts

this is on ebay... i'm assuming it's "lower" quality Chinese made stuff..... I'm not expecting fabspeed quality - BUT... has anyone bought / seen / tried this thing?

is it any good ? drones like nuts?>

I've got a pedro exhaust, but have been itching to do something deeper/louder and am never going to drop $1000+ on a high end s ystem.. so it's either leave it "stock / pedro" or get a lower cost or used unit..

any opinions on this one?

My presumption is that its just another cheap Taiwanese made exhaust on eBay. However, after looking at the photos and reading the specs, it actually looks like it could be a pretty nice piece. In fact, it has a very similar design to my custom 9FF exhaust.
The difference being, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ lol ! Give it a whirl. What's the down side ? Certainly not the price.

Looks like they are in CA, it would be nice to check it out before buying so you could trial fit the OEM U-bend pipes & avoid the $ 100. shipping fee.

I have been looking at the same muffler too.
It says that its a straight-through design so I dont expect it to be much quiter than straight pipes, but that is exactly what I am looking for.
No drone concerns here, since it will be spending most of the time >3k rpm.
Please post your findings once you buy it, since I will be buying one in a couple weeks too. Maybe a set of secondary cat deletes too (vertex auto has them for $275)
Yep, Im cheap.

To the original poster; I also have a "Pedro type" modified exhaust (by Oettle of Germany) that was still a bit quiet for me. I installed a set of Fabspeed secondary cat bypass pipes and the entire system came alive with great sound and no drone.

I'd go that approach, before sticking on a cheap exhaust that you may need to dump. I picked up my Fabspeed pipes, lightly used, for under $300 shipped.
