Crank & Power sterring underdrive pulley upgrade

www.cheetahonline.com
They sell two pulleys for 986. $100 & $200. Sounds good for the 10 + HP & no check engine light.
I figured while you have the compartment opened up, might as well cahnge both.
Anyone tried this?
Sounds like a win/win situation with no down side.

Thanks Rich

Underdriving the crank will underdrive ALL accessories, including the PS pump obviously, so also underdriving the PS pulley may be too much.....

Why would it be to much on the power steering side with booth pulleys. Seems like the total rotational mass loss would be good for everything?

Thanks

Oops! A smaller pulley on the PS pump will turn it FASTER, killing the PS pump faster. Maybe not a good plan.

Last I heard Cheetah was not returning calls/emails from customers. Buyer beware!

The "underdrive" ps pump pulley is larger than stock in diameter...

Hmmmm, I wonder why they put this in their ad then:

"Also, these pulleys are made with a smaller diameter than the stock pulley. This rotates the belt driven accessories at a slightly slower pace (around 10-13% slower). Since each accessory takes power to turn, hp and torque are regained through the "underdriving" process also."

Yeah, that text part is probably supposed to just refer to the crank pulley. The ps pulley description refers to a larger _belt_ diameter, whatever that may mean... probably a typo as well...
