i am getting the front pass side groaning and i looked and it seems like the "bushing" within the coils of the spring has come apart...What is this part and can I do the repair myself???? it is a yellow color?

Sounds like you are talking about the "bump stop". If you can take a pic and post it, that would make it easier to know for sure.

It is DIY, but you will need a spring compressor tool.
