RMS leak please help!!

Well not taken the car out as iv been busy..

but when i moved the car there was oil on the floor so i couldn't get a good look and i jacked the car up, and looked and took some pics this is what i found..

It went into porsche here and they said it was a seal that is failing and just needs replacing and that it's not a big problem.. could some of you guys let me know if this is a RMS or IMS leak??

thanks

No way to tell until you separate the gearbox from the engine. Either way, while the seal is a $10 part, I'd hardly call the repair "not a big problem," at least from a monetary standpoint, as it's still the better part of a day in labor to pull the exhaust, pull the gearbox, replace the RMS seal and put it all back together.

If the gearbox has to come off, now is a great time to upgrade the IMS bearing and get a new clutch and have it all done on the same labor bill.
