Question on Catalytic Converters

I have a set of secondary cats for sale that came off of my 986 "S". I have received several inquires from other boxster owners regarding compatibility with their base model . Clearly, the headers/pre cats are completely different between the "S" and "non S". However, are the secondary cats different between the two models ? Will they work with either engine ? Does anyone know ?

Can anyone help with the answer ? Or should I go see Mr. Whoopee ?

1997-1999 has a smaller pipe diameter & flange 3 bolt pattern so they will not bolt together. If you are refering to 2000- 2.7 pipes I am not sure but I bet if it is same gasket part # it probably is the same.

Yes, I am referring to the 2.7 engine. I know that the 2.5 has a completely different exhaust configuration. Thanks for pointing that out .

Johnny, as far as I know, the 2.7 and 3.2 setups are the same by means of the secondary cats and are interchangeable.
