Radio/CD Player Skipping
 

After the radio or CD player in my 2002 Boxster is on for a few minutes, it starts to skip. It's not the disc, because it happens with the radio also. Does anyone know what may be causing this? Any help would be appreciated.

Try cleaning the contacts between the removeable faceplate and the main body.

Thanks. I sprayed a contact cleaner on the contacts, as you suggested. Am waiting to see what happens when I try the radio tomorrow. It was still skipping 15 minutes after cleaning, but I'll give it a day or so to see if it works.

There may be a better way of cleaning. I know I've seen details on it, probably on this forum or Renntech. If you do a Search on both forums you'll come up with it.
