Question for those who have changed the lower control arm.

I've gone one on order and is my next piece to change in chasing a wheel shake.
I have the squeaking so I know it needs replacement. My question is the Bentley book says to do the final torque with the car on the ground. Other DIY's make no mention of this. Which is the correct procedure?
Thanks
Chris

Any suspension part needs to have final torque applied with chassis at normal loading on tires so as to not preload suspension in abnormal position.
