Dash gauge glass removal

Any instructions on how to remove the bezel on the three dash gauge's in order to clean the backside of the glass (or is it plastic?)? Thanks.

I think one of the members, Randallneighbour, has a DIY page on changing gauge face which involves taking off the glass/plastic.

bezel removal

I just want to remove the bezel's, not take out the whole dash! Can this be done in order to just clean the back faces of the dial's??? Do the bezel's twist off or snap off in some way? Thanks.

I don't think so, I see no other way of getting it out.

JTP is right. It only takes about 10 minutes though, and when you do it you can finally clean under the cluster properly.

Go for it!

Nope. The rings are plastic and the "glass" is plastic and the face of the gauges is all glued together. I put aluminum trim rings OVER my existing rings with a couple of drops of thick CA glue (when it was apart and face down on a table.

I don't fancy trying the mask of the clear bit, i have visions of it looking naff, might have to just buy the rings but they are £100 in the UK, thats twice the price as you guys get them for!!

Buy them off eBay or from the US! Your money goes a loooong way here.

BTW - we think our "lower" price for these stupid little aluminum rings is outrageous.

And what's "naff"?
