or they put the self tightening bolts on the wrong side....i hate when that happens

It would appear that torqueing alone is not sufficient to keep this problem from happening as evidenced by the sheer number of folks that have suffered this fate with the 911. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/238313-cv-joint-failure-carnage.html
