Fuel filter

Goodevening everybody from Greece. i would like once again your assistanse. I own a 987 S 2005. as i understand porsche's built after 2005 dont have a fuel filter. is that right?.So how can i prevent a damage to the fuel pump due to the fact that in greece we dont have the cleanest gas. on my other car i replace it every 5K and it turns to black cause of the bad quality.Do they replace every certain time anything in the fuel tank.Is that something i can do or the dealer has to do at a specific mileage?? Thanks!!!!

Porsche replaced the original external fuel filter in MYO 2002 with a filter mounted on the fuel pump which is located in the fuel tank. This is not a servicable item, so there is nothing much you can do about it....

Hi Joecats, I just got home from the Greek Festival in California, you might want to look at the parts diagram of your fuelpump&filter at a Porsche dealer to see how hard it will be to change if you have to change it.

My thought would be to pre-filter the fuel. Lot less pain than introducing contaminated fuel and then trying to fix issues.
